30 Years Of Hog Ox And Lamb Roasts
We have been roasting whole pigs, ox and lamb for over 30 years in the UK, since the late 1970's in fact, and as Apex Catering we are the most experienced and knowledgeable Hog and Ox Roasters in Britain. Over the years we have developed our roasting techniques and menus so that we can offer the best tasting roast meats to all of our clients, time and again, with a consistency that is unmatched. And after 30 years we can now boast that as a company we can roast all types and sizes of speciality meats, with any type of brief, in almost any location in the UK.
Yet experience only counts if you are also passionate about what you do: we have never left it at 'what we know, always works best', we are always researching and refining the best way to cook roast meats, whether it be pork, beef, lamb, or speciality meats, and we have been fortunate to work with some of the country's leading food historians and food technicians to that end. And eight years ago we started our own market garden farm to supply most of our salad crop needs, realising that local foods, grown for flavour and freshness, is what we and our customers wanted.
As you can see from the photos below, as fashions come and go, moving from spit roasting to oven roasting (with good reason! it is a much better method) we have been proudly serving clients in every part of the UK since the 1970's. From starting with a 'home-made' spit roast we have, over the years, developed our own industry leading Hog Roasters, under the name, Embers Catering Equipment. Uniquely, what we can offer all our clients is the necessary experience to ensure that their event runs smoothly, with the pig, ox or lamb cooked to perfection, exactly when requested for serving by the client, and served by dedicated staff who know exactly what they are doing.
